| Intergame Online Feb 16th 2010- Hot Games gets Road Rage on the iPhone (16/02/2010 @ 16:01:42) |
|
After several years of developing Apple iPod and iPhone Apps, UK-based game developer Hot Games has just released its own branded game, Road Rage Arcade Driver.
Commenting on the move, Heath Samples, CEO at Hot Games, said: "We were pretty quick to get on board the development ladder for Apple resulting to date in the launch of over 40 Apps for different companies into iTunes. When we started there were only 20,000 Apps in the iTunes library and since then, we have seen Apps take off astronomically in terms of numbers and the popularity is phenomenal. It's a real step change and provides a huge opportunity."
The Road Rage game takes iPhone functionality back to a basic but competitive level while levering a traditional arcade game into the online world. Using the iPhone Accelerometer the player steers the coin along the road in the fastest time possible. The kicker is to try and increase that speed to sub 10 seconds. Samples added:"On the next release we will be providing players with the ability to upload their high scores onto the Win Each Time website where they will then win prizes along with random competitions."

| Latest News on the Gran Scala Project Feb 2010 Reported from spanishgamingnews.com (08/02/2010 @ 22:37:52) |
|
The promoters of the Gran Scala Project could formally present its proposal for the construction of the afore mentioned leisure and gaming center this month or next.
ILD has begun to pay for the 1,000 hectares it acquired some time ago and is trading with the futher local proprietors to buy another 300 hectares. Otherwise, the City of Ontiñena has handed over municipal lands for construction of the project.
According to the statements issued to COPE Radio by Mayor of Ontiñena Angel Torres, in a couple of weeks the problems of ownership of these 300 hectares could be solved and then would be formalized the payment of 8% of their values. Torres has made clear that the purchase of lands hasn’t any relation with the presentation of the project.
The Minister of Industry and Tourism, Arturo Aliaga, has also ensured a few days ago that ILD continues to work to submit to the Government of Aragon a project adapted to the High Capacity Leisure Centers Act. To this moment, the Government of Aragon won’t make any negotiations with the Ministry of Development to build a link road to a nearby motorway as well as a station on a high-speed rail line from Madrid to Barcelona as asks ILD.
